How to send all the documents someone asked for, in one email, from a Mac

A landlord, bank or consulate asks for papers by email. Gather them by hand on a Mac, or drop the request on Kempt’s notch and get the reply ready in Mail.

  • ✓Last 3 pay stubs3 files · Jul – Sep

In short

Read the request, find each paper, check it is recent enough, attach them in their order and write a short reply. Kempt does the finding, checking and writing: drop their email (or the PDF) on the notch, and Mail opens with a reply in their language, the papers attached in their order and anything missing named as “to follow”. You check it and press Send.

Without any app

  1. Turn their email into a list

Copy each item they ask for into a note, in their order. “Your last 3 payslips” means three files, not one.

  2. Find each paper and check its date

Search for each one with Spotlight or in Finder, and check it is recent enough: many lists want papers from the last three months.

  3. Attach them in their order

Reply to their email, attach the files in the order of their list, and rename vague ones (“scan_0042.pdf”) so they know what they are opening.

  4. Say what is still missing

If a paper isn’t ready, say so and when it will follow. It saves a round trip.

With Kempt

  • Drop the request on the notch

Select the text of their email in Mail, a browser or WhatsApp, or take the PDF, and drag it onto the notch. Or right-click › Services › Prepare Papers with Kempt.

  • Each line checked, in their words

Kempt lists what they asked for and marks each line found, outdated or missing, with the dates of the papers it found (“3 · June – August 2026”). One missing? Click Add… and choose the file: it counts and goes in the reply.

  • A reply ready in Mail

Reply with the papers opens Mail with their address, “Re:” their subject, a greeting by name in their language, the papers attached in their order and anything missing listed as to follow. Kempt never sends: you do.

Questions people ask

Which requests does it understand?

Requests written in French or English: emails, messages and PDFs that list papers, from a landlord, an agency, a bank, an employer or a consulate. The reply is written in the language of the request.

Does Kempt send the email for me?

Never. It opens a draft in Mail with everything in place. You read it and press Send.

What if a paper is too old?

The line says when the newest one is from, for example “Newest is from Mar 2026”, so you can add a newer one with Add….

Can I keep it as a dossier?

Yes. Open in Kempt turns the request into a dossier that keeps itself ready as new papers arrive.
