Your paperwork, ready when someone asks.
Kempt gives every download a real name, finds any document by what's inside it, and builds the dossier your landlord, accountant or consulate asks for. All of it on your Mac.
Your pay stub for October
Hi Camille,
your pay stub for October 1–15 is attached. Keep it handy: landlords and lenders often ask for recent ones.
Your rent is $1,850.00 a month, due on the 1st.

Drop a messy pile. Get named, filed paperwork.
Drag a handful of downloads onto the notch. Kempt reads each one, proposes a real name and a folder, and moves them all when you say so.
- Facts decide, the model names. Dates, sizes and what the page says pick the folder. Apple's on-device model only writes the words.
- Your names stay yours. A name you typed, a folder you chose, “Keep Original Name”: Kempt remembers and never second-guesses it.
- When unsure, it waits. Doubtful files land in “Needs a look” and are never moved, renamed or trashed until you check them.
“¿Dónde está mi contrato de alquiler?” · translated from Spanish on this Mac
…the Tenant agrees to pay a monthly rent of $1,850.00, due on the first day of each month…
Ask out loud. In your own language.
Press ⌃⌥Space and say what you're looking for. Kempt listens on your Mac, translates if needed, finds the file and lets you act on it without touching the mouse.
- Inside every file. PDFs, scans, photos of paper, screenshots, even what's said in voice notes and screen recordings.
- Answers you can check. If a number isn't on the page Kempt cites, Kempt doesn't say it.
- Then act on it. Open, Quick Look, copy, add to the shelf or AirDrop, all from the keyboard.
Paste what they asked for. Send it in a minute.
A landlord, a lender, a consulate. Paste their email, and Kempt turns it into a checklist, finds each paper in your name, and flags what's missing.

What they asked
Paste what they asked for to begin.
Export dossierOnly the right paper. A slot takes a document only if it is that paper, in your name. A receipt that mentions a driving licence is not a driving licence.
Ready-made lists too. Rental, visa and mortgage dossiers, plus a monthly pack for your accountant with totals read from each receipt.
Matched to your bank. Import a statement and see which debits have a receipt and which are still missing one.
Get gigabytes back. Lose nothing.
Installers for apps you already have, copies of the same document, screenshots you'll never open again. Kempt lists them. You tick. It all goes to the Trash, with Undo.
Nothing uploaded.
Your documents are read on your Mac by Apple's on-device model. No cloud, no analytics, no account. Only buying and activating a licence go online, and they never see your files.
Nothing invented.
When Kempt isn't sure, it marks the file ⚠ and waits for you. A number in an answer must appear on the page it cites.
Nothing lost.
Kempt never deletes. Every rename and move is logged with the reason, and you can undo one file, a whole batch, or a whole day.

Questions people ask.
Which Macs does Kempt run on?
macOS 26 on a Mac with Apple silicon. Naming uses Apple Intelligence, so it needs to be turned on in System Settings. Search, Ask, dossiers and Clean Up work without it.
What leaves my Mac?
Your documents never do. Buying and activating a licence use online services, which receive your email address and a random installation ID. Never file contents, names or paths.
Will it move things without asking?
Only new downloads it's confident about, after a countdown you can pause, and only what your own rules say. Anything uncertain waits for you. Everything can be undone.
Which languages does it understand?
Kempt reads and names paperwork in English and French, and Arabic with on-device translation. You can ask out loud in Spanish and many other languages: Kempt translates your question on your Mac before searching.
Is the app in my language?
This website is in English, French and Spanish. The app's menus and buttons are in English for now.
What happens when the trial ends?
Automatic naming and filing stop. Your files stay exactly where they are, in ordinary Finder folders, and you can still undo anything Kempt did.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Write to us within 30 days of buying and we'll refund you in full.
How do I reach a person?
Write to support@usekempt.app. A person replies, usually within one working day.
Is it on the Mac App Store?
Not yet. The version on this site comes first, signed and notarized by Apple.
Next time someone asks for a document, you'll have it.
